looking for a foal during the 1911 war. need help.?

well if it means a lot to me. I'm looking to buy a colt 1911 Actuall carried in the Second World War the army of the United States or before. it's something I always wanted my father it would mean a lot. i just need some tips and sources. Could you imagine i cannot exactly trust each colt stamped "Army American "to be legitimate. I want a weapon of actual service. it will be a collectible / home defense weapon because he is my father Only firearms. if the condition is not a real big problem but it needs to go bang. we will not do that shooting only once for make sure it works and yet many times after someone breaks into the house. (Mostlikely zero). Please note I expect this to be a pricy purchase and money is no obstacle whatsoever. just want it to be real and do not want to get scammed. thank you for your help.
