All collectors of model trains there? I need expert advice.?

I train my father full in Beginning in 1930, and I understand that it is quite collectible. Many cars, spare landscapes track. He has been in storage for years and is in pretty good shape with some surface corrosion, but lots and lots of dust and metal is dull. I have not really seen work in 20 years, but I'm sure woudn't have much to start. I finally decided to let him go. I ordered a guide to prices, but so much depends on the state. Here are my questions (thank you for your patience, and serious answers only please): 1) It is bad now because of the dirt, it affects how I rate the condition? 2) Do I need to clean it, and if so, 3) How can I better cleaning for sale without damaging anything? 4) Is this the best eBay selling? 5) Do I need to sell as a package or piece? Thank you for any advice.

Dirt / dust must be removed with something very good. Maybe a microfiber cloth, and be very gentle. A very fine sandpaper, will tracks back to a shine and allow them to function properly. I want to get somewhere appreciated by someone in the industry to know it's true value. And I think you should sell it as a whole if any of the 30's. (No additional parts over several years)
