A Night to Remember $14.99 Lord’s classic bestseller, and the definitive account of the unsinkable ship’s fateful last hoursAt first, no one but the lookout recognized the sound. Why is the story of RMS Titanic so popular?
I mean before the 1997 movie came out was still very popular? had a lot documentaries on the History Channel and Discovery Channel! People still buy all kinds of memories in it! I mean a vest or jacket of the titanic cost more real than almost $ 100,000.00! So what is it?? Thanks
The sinking of the Titanic has been the subject of several books and films, so yes, it was a popular thing before the Hollywood blockbuster Titanic (1997). The film helped intereast influence. It was not until September 1985 that the remains real at rest in about 3,800 m (12,000 ft) of water. (This was the original explosion in popularity of its new) The area was photographed by a research project French-US expedition through the use of robot submersibles equipped with television cameras (see Deep-Sea Exploration, Submersible Craft). In July 1986, the U.S. researchers, led by the American deep-sea explorer Robert Ballard explored the Titanic in the three-person submersible Alvin, but who took pictures of the interior, but recovered no artifacts. The following year a controversial rescue effort retrieved French dishes, jewelry, coins and other artifacts, that were exhibited in Paris in September 1987 and in Hamburg in 1997. In August 1998 a large section of the outer hull of the ship was recovered from the seabed. An expedition 2004 from Robert Ballard found visible damage treasure hunters and visitors, as well as modern waste at the site of the wreck. The latter case is almost tripled in popularity.
